A great opportunity exists for a passionate and experienced Research Lead to join our organisation.

Reporting to the Clinical Director and working closely with the Outcomes and Evaluation Manager, the Principal Clinical Advisor - Māori and the Principal Clinical Advisor, this role will see you support the achievement of Youth Horizons’ purpose, vision, mission and values by leading research activities that support and promote the effective delivery of Youth Horizons’ services.

Youth Horizons is a national non-profit organisation providing evidence based and bi-culturally focused programmes that create better futures for rangatahi impacted by conduct problems.  We are a values based organisation committed to being highly professional, leading edge and sustainable. Our innovative approach combines evidence-based models of practice along with a focus on our core values of Manaakitanga, Wairuatanga, Aroha and Whanaungatanga. Our national office is in Auckland and we have over 250 staff and caregivers supporting young people and their families and whānau across Northland, greater Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawkes Bay, lower North Island and lower South Island.

Working closely with the Outcomes and Evaluation Manager, this role will see you:

  • Make recommendations to the Leadership Team about strategic and purposeful research projects that drive front-line practice development, and contribute to our understanding of what works in the field
  • Advocate for a strong commitment to continuous quality improvement through research informed practice
  • Coordinate and lead high quality and timely, approved internal research projects
  • Lead in the development and maintenance of relationships with external research institutions to facilitate collaborative research projects.
